The Dragonfly App™ (“Dragonfly,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) helps parents and caregivers track information about their children (e.g., behaviors, therapies, medications, sleep, notes, and documents). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the app or website.

What this Policy covers

This Policy applies to:

1.  The Dragonfly mobile applications (iOS/Android)

2. Our website and any pages we host (e.g., this Privacy Policy page)

3. Support and email communications related to the app

4. This Policy does not cover third-party services you may interact with (e.g., Apple, Google, cloud storage providers). Those services have their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

1. We collect the following types of data:

  • Account & profile information

  • Name, email, password (if using email sign-in), or tokens from third-party sign-ins (e.g., Sign in with Apple)

  • Basic settings and preferences

  • Child profiles & logs (user-entered data)

  • Child profile info you enter (name/nickname and details you choose to store)

  • Logs you enter: behaviors, medications, therapies, appointments, goals, sleep and bowel movements, nutrition notes, daily journal entries (including voice-to-text if used)

  • Documents you upload

  • Files such as lab results, therapy notes, or PDFs/images you choose to store

2. Device & usage data

  • Device type, OS, app version, limited diagnostics/crash data, and general usage analytics to improve stability and performance

  • Medical/Legal Note: Dragonfly does not provide medical advice and is not a covered entity under HIPAA. We provide tools for parental tracking and information sharing only.

3. How we use your information

  • We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the app and its features.

  • Generate summaries and trends for your personal use

  • Store your documents securely so you can access and manage them

  • Respond to support requests and communicate about updates or issues

  • Enforce our Terms and protect the service from abuse or misuse

  • Comply with legal obligations

  • We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.

Contract: to provide you the app and related features you request

Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent fraud, and improve the service

Consent: where required (e.g., optional analytics or marketing)

Sharing & disclosures

We may share data with:

1. Service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting). They are bound by confidentiality and only use data as instructed by us.

2. Legal & safety purposes: if required by law, court order, or to prevent harm, fraud, or abuse

3. Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy or a successor policy that is at least as protective

4. We do not share child logs or documents with third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes.

Data retention

1. We keep your content (profiles, logs, documents) while your account is active or as needed to provide the service.

2. You can request deletion at any time (see “Your rights & choices”).

3. Backups may persist for a limited time as part of our standard disaster-recovery procedures.

Security

1. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@thedragonflyapp.com.

Children’s privacy

1. Dragonfly is intended for parents and caregivers. Parents control child information stored in the app. Children should not create accounts or use the service directly. If we learn a child under 13 (or under the age required by local law) created an account, we will delete it.

International transfers

1. We may process and store information in countries other than where you reside. We take steps to protect your information in line with this Policy and applicable laws. Where required, appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) are used for data transfers.

Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access the information we hold about you

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Delete your information

  • Export/transfer your data

  • Object to or restrict certain processing

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

California (CCPA/CPRA) Notice: We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can request access, deletion, or correction as above.

Cookies & similar technologies

1. If our website uses cookies or similar technologies, they are used to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand aggregate usage. You can manage cookies in your browser settings. The mobile apps themselves generally do not use browser cookies, but may use device identifiers and diagnostics tools.

Third-party services we rely on (examples)

1. Apple/Google: sign-in, app store distribution, crash/diagnostic tooling

2. Hosting/Storage providers: to store your data and documents securely

3. Analytics/Diagnostics: to understand app stability and improve performance

4. Links to third-party services are provided for convenience. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Payments & subscriptions (if/when enabled)

1. If we offer paid features, we may process payments via the App Store, Google Play, or third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full payment card details on our servers. Payment processors collect and process your payment information under their own privacy policies.

2. The Dragonfly App offers auto-renewable subscriptions. Payment is charged to the user’s Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Users can manage or cancel their subscription from Apple ID settings.

User-generated content & sharing

1. You are responsible for the content you upload and share. If you choose to share summaries or documents with third parties (e.g., care teams, schools), their privacy policies may apply to how they handle that information.

Data deletion & account closure

1. You can request account and data deletion at any time by emailing hello@thedragonflyapp.com from your registered email. We’ll guide you through verification and confirm once deletion is complete (subject to any legal retention obligations).

2. The app uses Supabase authentication only (login/signup). We do not store any additional personal data. When a user deletes their account, the data is deleted immediately via Supabase.

Account Deletion Last updated: [12/22/2025] Users can permanently delete their account directly from the app.

  • Open the app > Log in > Go to Settings > Tap on Delete Account > Confirm deletion

  • Deleted data: Name Email Authentication data (Supabase) All data is deleted immediately after account deletion. No additional personal data is collected or stored. Support: hello@thedragonflyapp.com

Changes to this Policy

1. We may update this Policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, technical, or regulatory reasons. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, when required, provide additional notice.
